Visual Drums is the personal project of drummer Neo M, musician and telecommunication engineer from Barcelona.
The project, started in 2010, constitutes a synergy between art and technology that implements the following innovative principle:
“If music is essentially sound energy transmitted in the form of acoustic vibrations through the air…, why not also transmit it visually through light expansion waves?”

With this goal in mind, the current format of Visual Drums show incorporates the first “visual interactive drumset” built in Catalonia, an instrument that allows simultaneously the generation of any kind of sounds and visual animations.
The staging is multifaceted and turns each performance into a different experience according to each event, but always with an innovative and futuristic impact.
From a "Blade runner" aesthetic format with music from groups such as Depeche Mode, M83 or Jean-Michel Jarre to a more contemporary setlist interpreting Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Michael Jackson or Black Eyed Peas, to more ethereal formats where the artist improvises and makes the instrument sound like a synthesizer keyboard, an electric guitar or a hang.
